Code of Ethics

Three  ideas that I like are on the DEC Code of Ethics are

  1. Professional Collaboration
  2. Professional and Interpersonal Behavior
  3. Professional Development and Preparation
I picked these points because they are very important. We have to remember that respecting each other religious and sexual belief  is very important along with other things. Acting appropriate in the work environment around children is must. I have seen teachers get into heated arguments in front of their class. Also planning is very important. This will help the children on task and yourself.

Quote on passion and motivation from media presentation

"I always wanted to become a teacher ever since I was a child. I wanted to be a public school teacher but never thought about being a head start teacher.  Children from low income families can thrive if they are given the right tools that they need. I  was interested in working with children that were 3 and 4 years. I said yes and I fell in love with them."Lousie Derman -Sparks

"I became a part of the early childhood field and I was able to see how we have a unique opportunity to work with children and shape a child life that's why I'm passionate. Whenever I go to the meetings I see the parents learning how to talk to policy makers and sharing their voice that is what keep me motivated."  Sandy Escobido

Quote by Dr. Stanly Greenspan

"As your baby progress from one milestone to the next, remember that he doesn't really leave them behind. In order to grow and develop his full potential he must continually build on and strengthen all of the steps that have gone before."

Quote on education by President Lyndon B. Johnson

Education is not a problem. Education is an opportunity.
